Since March 2025 a devastating algal bloom has impacted South Australian's Great Southern Reef.
Marine tour operator Research and Discovery Kangaroo Island launched a citizen science initiative, The Kangaroo Island Reef Resilience Project - documenting marine life that persists within affected reef and seagrass ecosystems. Nautilus was approached to help get the word out, creating a visual identity for the project to support recognition, clarity, and community engagement.
